Just saw your blog on FB. I started r...Hey Sarah! Just saw your blog on FB. I started running to get out of a slump after Faye's birth with the help of "The Non-Runners Marathon Trainer." I laughed at the title because at the time I hardly left the couch with screaming Faye, let alone ran! I don't think I could do a mile without stopping at that time. Now this book is my bible and I try to run one marathon a year. What I love about it is the inspiration and the tools from the words of people who had every reason not to run in the first place and did it anyway. Even if you never run a marathon in your life, I highly highly highly recommend this book. It is a life changer. Not for the miles. 5K is a great goal in itself! But more for the way it got me from my safe spot on the couch to out the door and running. I started purely for weight loss efforts, and ended up loving running for it's own sake. I don't even WANT the headphones anymore - and I used to think loss of headphones was the end of a run. Don't laugh - I started classes last year and am in the best shape of my life.
